Krista Young, LM, CPM

I had been working on my masters in Early Child Development while prayerfully considering the direction that I was to head professionally. During my prayers, the Lord put midwifery on my heart. While I wish I could say that I was obedient to the first call, it did take some time for God to help me walk in the right direction.

My oldest was a planned hospital birth that became one of those experiences that changed the direction of my life. Her birth created in me a longing to find a natural way to embrace pregnancy and birth. My second and third births at home under the care of loving midwives.

Our fourth child joined our family through the blessings of international adoption. The youngest of our legacy are a spunky set of twin toddlers who keep our house full of giggles!

I am a native Texan who grew up in the North Dallas area. My husband of 19 years, Sean, and I live now in the small but growing community of Celina. We love it there and enjoy the close community of friends and family. When I’m not caring for others, I can be found homeschooling our children, cooking and baking in the kitchen, and enjoying evening walks as a family. Life is busy but so very beautiful!

I am thankful that the Lord led me to a calling that allows me to serve others during such a special season of life! It is my absolute pleasure to care for families on their journey of building a legacy.

I come to midwifery with a heart set on serving and reflecting God's love and

goodness in all that I do. My academic background includes an AS in Mathematics & Science, alongside an AA in Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences. While my initial career aspirations leaned towards becoming a travel nurse, God had more fruitful plans when my two youngest siblings entered the picture.

I was able to walk alongside my mom throughout her 6th pregnancy with my youngest sibling where she chose to have a midwife. I was actually able to catch that little girl at home and everything changed for me since. All that I do, is because of them. In that instant, midwifery felt like a coming home- a calling deeply rooted in love, connection, and the miracle of life. God knew exactly what he was doing when he blessed me with the family that I have, to push me to where I am at today.

Since making Texas my home in 2020, I've embraced the role of a certified birth and postpartum doula, while also continuing my journey as a full time student midwife, furthering my dedication to maternal care. I am currently immersed in my studies at Midwives College of Utah. My journey is guided by the unwavering support of my family and loved ones, whose love and encouragement remind me daily of the importance of compassion and service. I look forward to serving you and your family in such a meaningful time. â€‹

Vanessa Cory- Student Midwife

As a teen, I became intrigued with the birth world as a close friend’s mom would talk about her home birth experiences. I decided I would use an out of hospital midwife when I eventually had my own children and started getting my hands on any book I could about pregnancy and birth.

After attending the same YWAM missions school in CO, my husband and were married in June 2010 and moved to North TX in 2011 where I was born and raised. Knowing we wanted children, I decided to put my desire to go through midwifery school on hold but still wanted to be involved in the birth world. In 2012 I became a certified birth doula under DONA and in 2017 I did a second certification through Stillbirthday. I have crossed paths with so many wonderful clients and I’m thankful for all the ways it’s allowed me to grow and learn over the years.

We have 6 children, three boys and three girls and I have used two CPMs for all of my babies, both of whom provided excellent care. Our oldest was born in 2013 at a birth center, followed by two 33 week preemies in 2015 and 2019. Our next baby was a 35 week preemie in 2021, a long wished for home birth in 2023 and our youngest joined us in 2025 and was my 4th unexpected hospital birth. My own birth experiences have allowed me to have more perspective, compassion and understanding for when plans change while also seeing how you can still have an empowering birth experience despite the changes.

I am thrilled to now be on the path towards becoming a CPM and to be in a wonderful midwifery school and apprenticeship. Each pregnancy, birth and postpartum is a miraculous and unique experience and I’m thankful I get to learn and take part in each and every one that becomes a part of my journey.
